Turn a TikTok video into useful, traceable notes

Work with accessible TikTok audio or existing captions and keep transcript evidence distinct from on-screen text.

A short video can carry several information streams: spoken words, on-screen text, music and a caption description. A speech transcript captures only one of them.

Start with the public source

Copy the original TikTok URL and use the TikTok transcript workspace. Audio transcription requires the connected service and accessible media. A removed, private or restricted post may not be retrievable.

Import captions when available

If you already have SRT, VTT or text, import it directly. This avoids another speech-recognition pass. Check whether important information appears only visually and add your own clearly labelled observation when needed.

Check short-video details

Music, fast cuts, overlapping speech and slang can confuse recognition. Verify names, ingredients, quantities and calls to action. A recipe note should not infer an ingredient amount that was never spoken.

Reuse with attribution

Export a source-linked note, an editable document or a draft social post. For competitor research, separate observed wording from your analysis. Do not treat a video's visible engagement or one transcript as proof of audience preferences.
